Apply to Serve on the Friends’ Board of Trustees
Friends of the Library is now accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the Friends of the Library Board of Trustees. The self-nominated, volunteer Board is responsible for managing and growing lines of business, recruiting and engaging Friends of the Library members, establishing and monitoring short-term and long-term financial goals, and advocating on behalf of Columbus Metropolitan Library as directed. Applicants should be passionate library supporters with an interest in grassroots advocacy who are able to volunteer 3-5 hours per month in service of Friends of the Library. While all skillsets are welcome, individuals with experience in the following are especially encouraged to apply:
- Financial Investment Strategy
- Digital Marketing
- Member Engagement and Stewardship
- Event Management
- Vendor Relations and Procurement
