My Next Read
Tell us what you like to read and we’ll create a book list—just for you—and email it to you within 2-3 days.
Interlibrary Loan
We work with libraries nationwide to borrow and lend items. Can’t find what you’re looking for in our catalog? Interlibrary Loan might help.
- Before submitting a request, please check SearchOhio and OhioLINK. These catalogs give you access to millions of additional items you can request and have delivered to any Columbus Metropolitan Library location – all at no cost to you. Simply use your library card to make requests and check out items. Read the complete information here.
- You must have a library card from Columbus Metropolitan Library to use Interlibrary Loan. Library cards from other library systems are not eligible. Sign up for a library card here.
- You may have up to 10 active requests at one time. Only books, articles and microfilm can be requested through Interlibrary Loan.
- All items must be picked up and returned to a Columbus Metropolitan Library location.

Reserve a Computer
You can reserve a public computer at all of our locations. Get same-day reservations at the location of your choice. Free WiFi is available for use with your own devices.
Reserve Meeting Rooms and Study Rooms
Printing Your Documents
Send print jobs to any Columbus Metropolitan Library location from your computer, phone or mobile device. Printed documents can be picked up at a location during normal operating hours.
You can also send print jobs from public computers at any Columbus Metropolitan Library location.
Notary Service
Need a document notarized? Free basic notary service is available by appointment at five Columbus Metropolitan Library locations: Main Library and Barnett, Hilltop, Karl Road and South High branches.

Adaptive Services
Assistive equipment, services and collections are available for individuals with disabilities.
Posting Materials
We post information about local nonprofit organizations and important community information. To learn how, take a look at the Distribution Procedure, and please note that restrictions apply.
To make it easy for you to package your materials to follow our procedure, we provide an Avery 5160 label template in PDF and Word versions.
